Ring 30 is rotated by two screws (39), Fig. 3 (not shown), each screwed into the limbs (36) of a U-shaped member (37) secured to the upstream face of stator member 22, the screws engaging the opposite sides of a T-shaped member (33) attached to ring 30 and positioned between the limbs (36) of the U. Having set the vanes 11 to the desired angle by means of the screws (39), shims each composed of an L-shaped member (40), a flat plate (41) and a spacer (42 or 43) of appropriate thickness sandwiched therebetween are fixed between the projecting portion (33B) of the T-shaped member (33) and the respective limbs (36) of the U. to lock the vanes 11 in position.</p> |
