Various embodiments of the present invention provide a system and a method for managing data usage in an electronic device. The method for managing data usage in an electronic device comprises: a step of displaying an estimated download cost calculated by a cost estimation unit; a step of executing a data usage notification through a notification generation unit, wherein the data usage notification is to be displayed for a user; a step of tracking a download cost by using a currency preferred by the user; a step of monitoring a data cost by using a widget or an application, and a data display; and a step of displaying application data usage through an application data usage unit. |
