1,036,996. Capacitors. SIEMENS & HALSKE A.G. Jan. 11, 1965 [Jan. 10, 1964], No. 1129/65. Heading H1M. In order to facilitate contact to an electrode of a capacitor which extends to an end face thereof, the end face is first covered by a deposit of discrete metal particles 2 of high melting point and then over these is deposited a cohesive layer of lower melting point metal, contact to the capacitor electrode then being made by fixing a connecting wire 4 to this layer. The metal particles 2 and the metal layer 3 are spray deposited and the higher melting point metal comprises one of the following: gold, copper, cobalt, iron, nickel, vanadium or zirconium and the lower melting point metal comprises zinc or a zinc-tin alloy. The metal particle size is between 20 Á and 300 Á. |
