PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing PPE fluid dispersion having a viscosity providing good coatability.SOLUTION: The method for producing fluid dispersion of resin composition containing polyphenylene ether (PPE) is provided which includes the following steps of: preparing PPE particles whose number average molecular weight is 8000 or more and which has such a particle size such that 10 pts.mass or more out of 100 pts.mass of the PPE particles do not pass through a thieve of opening of 106μm; and mixing the PPE particles with a solvent whose solvent holding amount by the PPE particles is 150% or more, thereby swelling the PPE particles with the solvent.
