PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized fluorescence light source device having excellent heat exhaust properties and having a fluorescent wheel capable of suppressing temperature quenching.SOLUTION: In a fluorescence light source device including a rotationally driven fluorescent wheel, the fluorescent wheel includes a phosphor plate for emitting fluorescence by being excited by excitation light, and on an excitation light receiving surface of the phosphor plate, a dielectric multilayer film is formed for transmitting the excitation light and reflecting the fluorescence emitted by the phosphor plate. Also, it is preferable that a part of a wavelength region of the fluorescence emitted by the phosphor plate overlaps with the wavelength region of the light in which the phosphor plate can be excited, and the dielectric multilayer film has the spectral reflectance characteristics for reflecting the light of the part of the wavelength region in the fluorescence. Also, it is preferable that an uneven structure for fluorescence emission is formed on a fluorescence emission surface in the fluorescent wheel. |
