PURPOSE:To improve the interchangeability and the production efficiency of software. CONSTITUTION:A picture or the attribute of the picture in character unit written on a VRAM 5 in a display controller 4 is read in the timing of a clock signal generated from an incorporated clock controller. In the display controller 4, the picture in character unit is converted to the dot image to be stored in an incorporated font ROM and controlled to be displayed on a CRT 6 according to the attribute of the picture. The picture in character unit in the form of the dot image supplied from the display controller 4 is displayed according to the attribute.
