PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical measurement device capable of measuring the balance between the supply and utilization of oxygen in the metabolism of a subject.SOLUTION: An optical measurement device 20 comprises: a light source 21 for projecting onto a subject 24 first light L1 which is for measuring the degree of oxygen supply to the metabolic system; and a photodetector 22 for receiving reflected light R1 (or transmitted light) of the first light L1 and for receiving second light R2 which is emitted from the subject in accordance with the degree of the oxygen utilization by the metabolic system. In some cases, the light source 21 projects excitation light L2 onto the subject 24 to cause the second light R2 to be generated. The first light is the light in a wavelength band which is partially absorbed by the subject and attenuates, for example, by transmitting through the subject. Specifically, the first light is the light in a wavelength band which is partially absorbed by oxyhemoglobin or deoxyhemoglobin contained in the subject and attenuates. The second light is fluorescence emitted, for example, by nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide or flavin adenine dinucleotide. |
