PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select a traveling mode brought about by an electric motor, without reference to an operator's operation of an accelerator pedal.SOLUTION: A control apparatus 1 of a hybrid vehicle includes a control part 30 that selects either a traveling mode brought about by an electric motor or a traveling mode of bringing an engine and the electric motor into cooperation with each other, depending on magnitude of up-grade on a road surface.
