<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of color mixture in an electroluminescent device and, as another purpose, to prevent a failure associated with a filler in this case.SOLUTION: In an electroluminescent device, a filler as well as a projection are provided on a gap between an element substrate where a light-emitting element is provided on a pixel and a color filter substrate where a color filter layer is provided to correspond to each pixel, which are arranged to face with each other. The projection is provided to be separated along a side of each pixel and the end of the projection in a longer direction is conical or streamlined. The projection is formed of a light-absorbing material like carbon black to have light-shielding properties. This structure can solve a problem of color mixture that occurs between the pixels. Additionally, this structure will not block a flow of the filler provided between the element substrate and color filter substrate after the projection is provided, thus preventing a formation of a cavity.</p> |
