PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which enabled the reduction in an organic acid included a nonaqueous electrolytic solution of a secondary battery.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a film-covered battery 1 comprises the steps of: filling a nonaqueous electrolytic solution into an outer sheath 5 of the film-covered battery 1 having an electrode including an electrode active material, a binding agent and an organic acid; thereafter, charging the film-covered battery to no lower than a voltage at which the organic acid is decomposed, thereby decomposing the organic acid in the nonaqueous electrolytic solution; and exhausting gas resulting from the decomposition from a cut part 6 of the outer sheath 5.
