PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in a conventional fixed device in which root resorption with enlargement using artificial force or a load causes growth of a crooked jawbone and a facial bone, and thereby a risk of occurrence of complication such as scoliosis in the future is pointed out.SOLUTION: An impression of all upper and lower jaw teeth is taken, and the occlusal relationship of the upper and lower teeth is taken by fitting silicone-based bite registration materials. A lower jaw plaster model made by the impression of the upper and lower jaws is used, and a plastic disk is pressure molded by a pressure molding machine, and then the segmentation of a mouthpiece is performed along the row of teeth. Next, a dental self-curing resin is built up by a brush-on technique in a mandibular milk molar occlusal surface portion so as to become a thickness (approximately around 2 mm) corresponding to the amount of an interocclusal clearance. An upper jaw plaster model is lightly press contacted right before the self-curing resin is completely cured, and the form of a maxillary milk molar occlusal surface is impressed. Burrs of resin caused by the impressing operation are removed. A resin portion is polished again and immersed in the warm water of approximately 40°C for approximately five minutes. Then a surplus monomer is washed away, and the final curing is achieved. |
