The present invention relates to an image display device including a battery and a control method thereof. The device includes: a power failure detection unit which detects a power failure; a power supply unit which includes a battery and, if a power failure is detected by the power failure detection unit, supplies power using the battery; a display unit which receives power from the power supply unit and outputs screen data; and a control unit which, if a power failure is detected by the power failure detection unit, controls the brightness of at least a part of the display unit based on the remaining power of the battery. |
