摘要

The present invention addresses the problem of providing a novel substance having strong reactivity as a fluorinating agent, capable of being effectively used in various fluorination reactions, and able to be safely handled even in air.　As a solution to this problem, the present invention provides a complex obtained by reacting at least one type of metal halide selected from the group comprising a halogenated metal and a hydrogen metal halide with bromine trifluoride in a nonpolar solvent. The complex is a fluorinating agent having excellent fluorination performance, and is stable in air.
