PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of the connection between lead wires for supplying electric power to light emitting elements and a substrate.SOLUTION: A light source for lighting includes: a long substrate 110 where LED elements 120 are disposed; a long housing 20 in which the substrate 110 is disposed; and a power supply mouth piece having a mouth piece body 310 provided at a longitudinal end part of the housing 20 and power supply pins provided at the mouth piece body 310; and lead wires 50, each of which has one end connected with the power supply pin and the other end connected with the substrate 110, the lead wires 50 for supplying electric power to the LED elements 120. A wiring space 160 for passing the lead wires 50 in a direction such that the lead wires 50 penetrate through a main surface of the substrate 110 is provided at the substrate 110.
