<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a room shape recognition device that uses a single camera to measure distances to a front wall, a right wall, a left wall from the camera. <P>SOLUTION: The room shape recognition device 10 includes: a single imaging means 11 for capturing images of a room having at least a floor 4, a left wall 5, a right wall 6, and a front wall 7; an image storing device 12 for chronologically storing a plurality of room images captured by the imaging means 11; a static image characteristics extraction device 13 for dividing the room images in matrix, and extracting the static characteristics of the images for the each divided region 8; a dynamic image characteristics extraction means 14 for extracting the dynamic characteristics of the images for the each divided region in the plurality of room images; and an attribute determination means 15 for determining attributions of the divided regions to the floor 4, to the left wall 5, to the right wall 6, or to the front wall 7 based on the output from the static image characteristics extraction means 13 and the output from the dynamic image characteristics extraction means 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
