A mixed reality vehicle control simulator comprises a headset 100, including a screen (102, figure 2), and one or more interactive controls 204 which a user can use to simulate vehicle control actions. A processor (104, figure 2) is configured to display a three dimensional environment via the headset, and is further configured to receive movement data from the interactive controls. Upon receipt of this data, the processor causes the display to update accordingly, thus creating the sense of the user and vehicle moving through the virtual environment. At least one image capturing device (106, figure 2) may be mounted to the user headset, capturing real images in the vicinity of the user. The captured images may then be blended with the virtual environment generated by the processor to create a mixed or augmented reality environment. |
