In a centrifugal air blower (51), with the blade angle (&bgr;) denoting the angle formed by a tangent line (L1) of a camber line (CL) at an intersection point (P) of the camber line (CL) and an arc centered on a rotational axis (A) in a blade cross-section through a front edge (61) and rear edge (62) of a blade (21), and a tangent line (L2) of the arc at the intersection point (P), the blade (21) has at least one of the following shapes: a decreasing shape in which the blade angle (&bgr;) decreases as the intersection point (P) shifts toward the rear edge (62) over the camber line (CL) in a front edge (61)-side portion (PL) in the blade cross-section (S1) on a shroud (19)-side, and a constant shape in which the blade angle (&bgr;) remains constant even when the intersection point (P) shifts toward the rear edge (62) over the camber line (CL) in the front edge (61)-side portion (PL) in the blade cross-section (S1) on the shroud (19)-side. |
