The invention relates to an antenna for short-range applications, in particular for RFID applications. The antenna (1) according to the invention comprises an elongated, two-pole conductor structure (12) having an inner conductor (14) and an external conductor (16) coaxially surrounding said inner conductor, wherein a first end (18) of the conductor structure (12) is provided as a connecting end for connecting a transmitter and/or receiver for an antenna signal that is to be sent or received by the antenna, and wherein an extension (24) of the inner conductor that is joined to the inner conductor (14) is provided on a second end (22) of the conductor structure (12), a free end (26) of said extension (24) of the inner conductor being capacitively coupled to the external conductor (16). According to the invention, energy and/or information can be transferred in a simple, reliable and wireless manner, in particular over short distances. |
