摘要 Provided are an infrared radiation element capable of preventing the thermal degradation of an electrode portion and a method for producing the same. An infrared radiation element (1) is provided with a substrate (11), an insulation layer (12), a heat-generation layer (13), an electrode portion (15), a foundation portion (17), and a wiring portion (16). The substrate (11) has a hollow portion (110) that exposes a portion of the rear surface of the insulation layer (12). The foundation portion (17) extends over the inside and outside of a perpendicular projection area of the opening end of the hollow portion (110) on the front surface of the substrate (11) that has a projection direction following the thickness direction of the insulation layer (12). The wiring portion (16) is provided on the front surface of the foundation portion (17). An end portion of the heat-generation layer (13) is provided so as to be a cover portion (18) for covering the wiring portion (16). The electrode portion (15) comes into contact with the front surface of the cover portion (18) at the outside of the perpendicular projection area. The wiring portion (16) has a higher melting point than the electrode portion (15) and has a lower electrical resistance than the foundation portion (17) and heat-generation layer (13).
