Technologies are described herein for aggregating and displaying status information and related media regarding an activity or event, such as a sports event, in realtime. A status display service is configured to retrieve status information regarding sporting events from multiple status data sources, parse the status information, store the status information in a database, and provide status information regarding a sporting event to a status display device in realtime. The status display device comprises a processor, a communication module, a display, and a memory containing code to allow the device to register interest in the sporting event with the status display service, receive the status information regarding the sporting event, and update the display according to the received status information.

retrieve status information regarding sporting events from a plurality of status data sources across the Internet,parse the status information,store the status information in a database, andprovide status information regarding a sporting event to a status display device in realtime; and the status display device comprising:
a processor,a communication module,a display, anda memory operably connected to the processor and containing processor-executable instructions configured to cause the processor to:
register interest in the sporting event with the status display service via the communication module,receive the status information regarding the sporting event via the communication module, andupdate the display according to the received status information.
