PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery cell which helps to reduce path cuts in a simple configuration without reducing a power generation area and to provide a fuel battery.SOLUTION: A first passage 26 is formed on an inward-facing surface of a cathode separator 22 opposed to a diffusion layer 25, while a second passage 28 is formed on an inward-facing surface of an anode separator 23 opposed to a diffusion layer 25. The second passage 28 is partitioned by ribs 30a and 30b. On the contact surfaces of the ribs 30a and 30b which are in contact with the diffusion layer 25, protrusions 36a and 36b are formed. The protrusions 36a and 36b protrude from the ribs 30a and 30b biting into the diffusion layer 25. According to a fuel battery cell 12 of such construction, a simple configuration constructed by only installing the protrusions 36a and 36b on the contact surfaces of the ribs 30a and 30b which are in contact with the diffusion layer 25 makes it possible to restrict the occurrence of path cuts. Furthermore, reduction in a power generation area caused by, for example, leakage of a liquid sealing material to the diffusion layer 25 can be avoided, and excess work such as impregnation of the liquid sealing material is unnecessary. |
