A V-belt continuously variable transmission (48) in which an actuator unit (82, 146) for driving a movable sheave (62) is slidably supported by a transmission case (15) that is formed by fastening a plurality of case members (52, 53, 54) with a plurality of fastening members (110-113), for ensuring a sufficient space for slidably moving the actuator unit (82, 146) and enhancing workability of mounting and dismounting operation of the actuator unit (82, 146). A flat mounting surface (108) for mounting the actuator unit (82, 146) is formed on an outer surface of the transmission case (15). Also, a recessed portion (114) recessed inwardly of the transmission case (15) from the mounting surface (108) is formed to have at an inner end thereof a fastening seat face (115) for a specific fastening member (111) out of the plurality of fastening members (110-113), the specific fastening member (111) being disposed at a portion corresponding to the mounting surface (108). The whole specific fastening member (111) is disposed inwardly of the transmission case (15) relative to the mounting surface (108). |
