<p>A hot water generator of the present invention includes: a refrigerant circuit 2 formed by annularly connecting, through a refrigerant pipe to one another, a compressor 21, flow path switching means 26, a radiator 22, a decompressor 23 and an evaporator 24; a bypass passage 3, an opening and closing device 31, and a control device 4, the plurality of operation modes include a reversed cycle defrosting operation mode for closing the opening and closing device 31, and a normal cycle defrosting operation mode for opening the opening and closing device 31, and when temperature of the radiator 22 becomes lower than predetermined temperature during the reversed cycle operation mode, the control device 4 shifts the operation mode to the normal cycle defrosting operation mode. Therefore, it is possible to efficiently carry out a defrosting operation while preventing water flowing through the radiator 22 from freezing.</p> |
