<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve timing adjusting device and a method of manufacturing the same, capable of reducing the size, while satisfactorily adjusting a clearance of a stopper pin 30, by making a swing to an inner diameter of a hole of a first plate 11 of the contour of a gear 6 fall within a predetermined range. <P>SOLUTION: A tool rotor 40A used as a substitute of a vane rotor 14 and a concentric multistage cylindrical tool pin 30A having a predetermined dimension to the stopper pin 30 are prepared, a housing 12 incorporated with the tool rotor 40A is joined to the first plate 11, the tool pin 30A is fitted in a fitting ring 33 from the tool rotor 40A side, the first plate 11 and the housing 12 are positioned, the outer periphery of the housing 12 is also pressed in the inner periphery of the first plate 11 in a positioned state, and after this press-in, the tool rotor 40A and the tool pin 30A are extracted, and the vane rotor 14 and the stopper pin 30 are incorporated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
