METHOD FOR EFFLUENT TREATMENT IN SMELTING OF NICKEL OXIDE ORE

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for effluent treatment, said method making it possible to separate and recover a high-density and high-concentration aluminum sediment from an acidic effluent which is discharged in smelting a nickel oxide ore and which contains aluminum ions. This method includes: adding both an alkali and an iron-containing solid substance to an acidic effluent which contains aluminum ions to form a slurry; allowing the slurry to stand; and thereby conducting the solid-liquid separation of the slurry into an aluminum sediment and a wastewater.
