摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery in which a short circuit between electrodes can be prevented by a simple structure and gas generated around the electrodes can be easily exhausted.SOLUTION: A lithium ion battery (secondary battery) 1 includes a core 10 having a structure where a positive electrode 11 and a negative electrode 12 are stacked alternately with a separator 13 interposed therebetween. The positive electrode 11 has a positive electrode collector 111, a positive electrode active material 112 and an insulating part 14. The negative electrode 12 has a negative electrode collector 121 and a negative electrode active material 122. The insulating part 14 includes a first insulating layer 141 and a second insulating layer 142. The first insulating layer 141 is formed to cover a positive electrode lead 113 in a solid not allowing an electrolyte to transmit therethrough. The second insulating layer 142 has a gap through which the electrolyte transmits and is formed to cover the first insulating layer 141.
