<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochromic display element having excellent image holding properties without slowing down the speed of response.SOLUTION: In an electrochromic display element, a substrate obtained by sequentially laminating at least a first electrode layer 11 and a first electrochromic layer 12 on a first base material 10, and a substrate obtained by sequentially laminating at least a second electrode layer 16 and a second electrochromic layer 15 on a second base material 17, are arranged interposing an electrolyte layer 13 with viscosity reversibly changeable by heat, so that the first and second electrochromic layers 12 and 15 oppose to each other.</p> |
