<p>The present invention relates to a ballast water treatment system for preventing the discharge of untreated water and a ballast water treatment method using the same and, more specifically, to a ballast water treatment system for preventing the discharge of untreated water, comprising: a pipe for allowing ballast water to flow; a valve installed on the pipe to be opened or closed to adjust the flow rate of the ballast water flowing in the pipe; a water treatment unit having a sterilizer for sterilizing the ballast water flowing in the pipe using ultraviolet rays; and a controller which controls the valve and circulates the ballast water remaining in the pipe to supply it to the sterilizer while the sterilizer is being warmed up or cooled, and a ballast water treatment method using the same. Therefore, the discharge of untreated water due to the disuse of raw water outside a ship while the sterilizer is being warmed up or cooled can be prevented.</p> |
