A transmission device is provided. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a device and a method which are capable of mapping bits included in a predetermined group among the groups comprising an LDPC codeword on a predetermined bit and transmitting the bit. The transmission device of the present invention comprises: an encoding unit for performing LDPC encoding and generating an LDPC codeword; an interleaver for interleaving the LDPC codeword; and a modulation unit for generating a modulated symbol by mapping the interleaved LDPC codeword, wherein the modulation unit maps bits, which are included in a predetermined group among the groups comprising the LDPC codeword, on a predetermined bit within the modulated symbol.
