摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable neutral control even during an engine shutdown while suppressing an engagement shock of a forward clutch associated with an engine restart. <P>SOLUTION: The forward clutch 48, which is engaged during forward driving, is provided in a power transmission path 18 between the engine 11 and drive wheels 19f, 19r. A spring 65 is incorporated in an engagement oil chamber 63 of the forward clutch 48, so that even at an idle reduction when control oil pressure drops, the forward clutch 48 is held in a slipping state or an engaged state by a spring force. Thereby, the engagement shock of the forward clutch 48 associated with the engine restart can be suppressed. In addition, an engaging clutch 15, which is connected to a select lever 44a, is provided in the power transmission path 18.
