<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inputting a personal identification number or a password, even when being peeped, unlikely to be viewed and capable of protecting key input information from cracking without using a character input key. <P>SOLUTION: When a login ID is input from an input screen and an input column of a personal identification number or a password is selected, a plurality of character strings are displayed on an input screen. When a member operates to move a cursor in a displayed character string and presses a clear key or the like to erase a specific character in the character string, the erased character is stored for each character string.
