摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buffer capable of securing an attenuating force near a maximum output while individually adjusting the attenuating force according to a direction in which a piston moves.SOLUTION: A buffer D comprises: a piston P held by a piston rod R going into and out of a cylinder S; an extension side chamber A and a compression side chamber B blocked by the piston P and filled with working fluid; first and second extension side exhaust passages 1, 2 for releasing the working fluid from the extension side chamber A; an extension side intake passage 3 for supplying the working fluid to the compression side chamber B; first and second compression side exhaust passages 4, 5 for releasing the working fluid from the compression side chamber B; and a compression side intake passage 7 for supplying the working fluid to the extension side chamber A. An extension side attenuating valve 10 is provided on the first extension side exhaust passage 1, and a compression side attenuating valve 40 is provided on the first compression side exhaust passage 4. An extension side electromagnetic pressure control valve 20 provided on the second extension side exhaust passage 2, and a compression side electromagnetic pressure control valve 50 provided on the second compression side exhaust passage 5 are set to a maximum opening before a piston speed reaches a high-speed region.
