PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a heat resistant wall of e.g. a gasification portion by controlling quickly the pressure of the partition part of a pressure vessel and reduce the time for pressure rise at the start or depressurization at a stop.SOLUTION: In a coal gasifier, a pressure vessel 7 of a gasification furnace 1 is communicated with a pressure vessel 11 of a heat recovery boiler 2 so that the combustible gas outlet of the heat recovery boiler 2 is opened into the pressure vessel 11; the partition part of the pressure vessel 7 of the gasification furnace 1 is divided into an insulation partition part 16 and a communication partition part 17 by partitioning with a partition plate 15; a first control valve unit 20 supplying a partition gas to the insulation partition part 16 and a second control valve unit 22 communicating the insulation partition part 16 with the communication partition part 17 are provided; and at least one of the first control valve unit 20 and the second control valve unit 22 is controlled so as to suppress the differential pressure between the pressure of the insulation partition part 16 and the pressure of the combustible gas of the heat recovery part 5 within an allowable range of the differential pressure. The second control unit 22 is formed by connecting a pressure adjustment valve 22a, an on-off valve 22b and a large-diameter on-off valve larger in aperture than the on-off valve 22b together in parallel. |
