<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device for an internal combustion engine, including a filter provided in an exhaust passage for trapping PMs, for effectively reducing the pressure loss of the filter resulting from the accumulation of ashes while suppressing an increase of fuel consumption.SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control device for the internal combustion engine includes the filter for trapping the PMs, a first accumulation amount acquiring part for acquiring the accumulation amount of the PMs, a second accumulation amount acquiring part for acquiring the accumulation amount of the ashes, and a control part for executing regeneration processing to oxidize the accumulated PMs. When the accumulation amount of the ashes acquired by the second accumulation amount acquiring part is not smaller than a threshold amount, the control part executes the regeneration processing in the state that the accumulation amount of the acquired PMs reaches a predetermined amount allowing oxidation heat due to the regeneration processing to raise the temperature of the filter up to a predetermined temperature where the accumulated ashes are contracted.</p> |
