PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device that has an arrangement of cyclic AD conversion circuits.SOLUTION: An operation section performs cyclic AD conversion of multiplying a first analog signal by an amplification degree &bgr; (1<&bgr;<2) to amplify the first analog signal and executing an operation corresponding to a digital value depending on a result of comparison of the magnitude of the first analog signal with a threshold to output a second analog signal, and outputting a first digital value string. A &bgr; estimation section 170 estimates a value of the amplification degree &bgr; on the basis of a first digital value string corresponding to a &bgr; estimation signal. A binarization section 171 acquires a second digital value string that is a binary number on the basis of the first digital value string and the estimated value of the amplification degree &bgr;. The operation section is arranged in correspondence with one or more columns of an array of a plurality of pixels, a &bgr; estimation signal output section 18 is arranged in correspondence with more than one of a plurality of operation sections, the &bgr; estimation section 170 is arranged in correspondence with more than one of the plurality of operation sections, and the binarization section 171 is arranged in correspondence with more than one of the plurality of operation sections. |
