EFFICIENT TRANSFER OF TCP TRAFFIC OVER WLAN

A method for communication includes receiving Transport Control Protocol (TCP) data packets from a first TCP endpoint (32), for forwarding over a Wireless Local-Area Network (WLAN) to a second TCP endpoint (44). The received TCP data packets are cached in a cache memory (56). The TCP data packets cached in the cache memory are forwarded over the WLAN to the second TCP endpoint, including retrying to forward one or more of the cached TCP data packets independently of the first TCP endpoint.
