An apparatus and a method of generating a pesticide spray in a quantitative diameter. The apparatus controls a drive motor (3) through a control center (1), the drive motor (3) drives a lead screw (4) to rotate, the lead screw (4) drives a slider (6) to reach a specified accurate position on a track (7), a piston (8) moves slowly with the slider (6) to squeeze quantitative pesticide liquid from a spray generator (9), and the pesticide liquid that is squeezed out forms single sprays through a guide pipe (11). Based on the method, a pesticide quantity that is squeezed out can be precisely controlled so as to form sprays in specified diameters. The method can be widely used for research such as spray diffusion test based on water-sensitive papers, evaporation characteristics research of a single spray and the like and used for pesticide characteristics experiment.
