The present invention relates to an image processing device and method that enable the usability of a service using a multi-viewpoint image to be improved. Included is a virtually-imaged image producer, which produces a virtually-imaged image by using multi-viewpoint image data, depth data that expresses the distances to a subject in the multi-viewpoint image, and profile information that contains parameters which recreate an optical effect of a virtual optical system, and using the virtual optical system to image the subject in the multi-viewpoint image. The present invention can be used in, for example, an image processing device. |
