摘要 |

The present invention relates to a biomolecular sensor device comprising at least one graphene layer as semi-conductor material, wherein said graphene layer comprises bound to its surface a ligand binding protein, with the protein modifying an electrical property of said device, such as impedance or transistor gating of the graphene semi-conductor, especially upon ligand binding and/or conformational change of said protein, said sensor is suitable for detecting odorant molecules capable of binding to olfactory binding proteins or membrane bound receptors. The invention provides the first graphene layer that is area-attached to a lipid bilayer. Further provided are methods of use of the sensor in detecting ligands to the proteins and methods of manufacture.
|
