<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a light distribution state by headlamps of an own vehicle with a more simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: The light distribution control system obtains anglesθ1 andθ2 indicating the positions of the respective outer edges of a target vehicle based on the detection result of an image processing device, calculates anglesα1,α2,β1 andβ2 defining the irradiation range by the headlamps of the own vehicle based on the angles, and outputs a light distribution signal for controlling a light distribution state based on the calculation result. The angleα1 is obtained by adding a correction value to an angle between the right headlamp and the right outer edge of the target vehicle. The angleα2 is obtained by subtracting a correction value from an angle between the right headlamp and the left outer edge of the target vehicle. The angleβ1 is obtained by adding a correction value to an angle between the left headlamp and the right outer edge of the target vehicle.
