PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To directly detect a temperature of a switching element for controlling an operation of a motor, and to perform drive control of the motor according to the detected temperature.SOLUTION: A washing machine includes: a power module incorporating a switching element for controlling an operation of a motor; and control means for controlling the operation of the motor. The power module further incorporates temperature detection means for detecting a temperature of the switching element. The control means executes control for weakening a load of the motor when the temperature detected by the temperature detection means becomes higher than a predetermined temperature. |
