PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision avoidance support device configured to achieve appropriate driving support through proper activation of driving support, and a collision avoidance support method.SOLUTION: A vehicle 100 includes: a support control section 111 which supports avoidance of a collision with an object; and a support suppression section 112 for suppressing support of the support control part 111 when a steering angle of a steering of the vehicle 100 is equal to or larger than a predetermined angle. The vehicle 100 determines whether the support of the support suppression section 112 is to be suppressed or not when the steering angle of the steering is equal to or larger than the predetermined angle, on the basis of vehicle information acquired from the vehicle 100 or a traveling environment of the vehicle 100, and includes the support suppression section 112 according to the determination result. |
