PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration wave motor which has improved vibration characteristics while improving drive power and drive efficiency, and an optical equipment.SOLUTION: The vibration wave motor 1 comprises: an electromechanical conversion element 5 to which driving signal is input through electrodes A, B; and an elastic body 6 which has a contact part 8a generating the vibration wave by inputting the driving signal to the electromechanical conversion element 5 and coming into contact with a relative movement member 4. The electrodes A, B of the electromechanical conversion element 5 are divided into first electrodes A, B to which a first phase driving signal for generating flexural vibration in which a position of the contact part 8a becomes an antinode part of vibration, is input, and second electrodes A, B to which a second phase driving signal for generating flexural vibration in which a position of the contact part 8a becomes a node part of vibration, is input. |
