PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect abnormality of a liquid pressure path of a brake liquid in an early stage.SOLUTION: The brake control device comprises: a brake force generation part 30** for generating brake force according to brake liquid pressure from a liquid pressure path for every wheel; a compression part 70 for compressing the brake liquid and feeding it to the liquid pressure path; an operation support ECU 94; and a brake ECU 1. The operation support ECU 94 comprises: a collision possibility determination part for determining possibility of collision of an own vehicle; and a collision determination part for detecting collision of the own vehicle. The brake ECU 1 comprises: an abnormality detection part for detecting abnormality of the liquid pressure path when the brake liquid pressure of the liquid pressure path becomes a threshold value or lower; and a brake control part for reducing or eliminating a compression amount of the brake liquid pressure of the brake liquid which is fed to the liquid pressure path before or after collision of the own vehicle, when the compression part 70 compresses the brake liquid following to detection of possibility of collision of the own vehicle, and the compressed brake liquid pressure is fed to the liquid pressure path, and the possibility of the collision is detected. |
