The present invention relates to an apparatus for measuring the tension of a mooring wire for a ship, which is installed in a wire (W) wound on a mooring winch (10) installed in a ship (S) in order to detect the tension of the wire (W). The apparatus (100) comprises: a body (110); a pair of wheel frames (120, 130) which are installed on both sides of the upper part of the body (110); wire wheels (122, 132) which support a wire (W) by being in contact with the wire (W) on both sides, and are rotationally installed in the pair of wheel frames (120, 130) in order to rotate so that the wire (W) can rotate; a wire supporter (140) which is installed in order to support the wire (W) by being in contact with the wire (W) between the wire wheels (122, 132); and a load cell (150) which is installed in the lower part of the wire supporter (140). The apparatus can measure the tension of the wire (W) using the load cell (150) while supporting the wire (W) at three points using the wire wheels (122, 132) and the wire supporter (140). Therefore, the apparatus can be protected and extend the durability thereof by being mounted in a mooring wire only when measurement of the tension of the mooring wire is necessary such as in case of mooring and being separated and stored when the measurement of tension is not necessary such as in case of sailing or anchoring. In addition, the apparatus can accurately measure the tension of a mooring wire by being mounted directly in the mooring wire, and can be more safe and useful than the use of a tensile load cell when testing the tension of the mooring wire in a yard.
