<p>The present invention relates to a carbon dioxide absorbent and a carbon dioxide absorption process using the same. Provided is the carbon dioxide absorbent containing: a porous metallic oxide support; and an absorbing element carried by the porous metallic oxide support, in which the absorbing element contains at least one selected from the group consisting of magnesium carbonate and magnesium oxide and alkaline metal carbonate.</p>
