1,140,219. Contact printing apparatus. GENERAL ANILINE & FILM CORP. June 9, 1966 [June 15, 1965], No.25771/66. Heading G2A. A photographic printing apparatus of the kind through which a heat developable diazo-sensitized sheet S is fed in contact with an original O consists of a light source 25 and two distinct supports 6, 7 irradiated from this source with different spectral ranges, each surface having conveying means 8-13 for passing the sensitized sheet over it, either for exposure or for development. A filter plate 27 coated so as to transmit U. V. radiation and reflect I.R. radiation is provided between the light 25 and the support 6, while a parabolic reflector 26 coated so as to transmit I.R. radiation and reflect U. V. radiation is provided between the light 25 and the support 7. A heat reflector 28 is provided and the support 6 is made of glass which transmits U. V. radiation. The original O and a sensitized sheet S are fed in at 18, and are conveyed past the support 7, the sheet S being imagewise exposed. The original is deflected out of the apparatus by a plate 22 while the sheet S proceeds to the U. V. portion for development. In another embodiment, Fig. 2 (not shown), the filter plate (27) is tilted, thereby eliminating the heat reflector (28) and also the dichroic properties needed for the reflector (26). In a third embodiment, Fig. 3 (not shown) the supports (6) (7), form a unitary structure fused together by beads (40), (41) which also hold the filter plate (27). |
