PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption of a viscoelasticity variable device.SOLUTION: A viscoelasticity variable device 1 includes magnetic magneto-rheological elastomer 2 in which magnetic particles 12 are dispersed and whose elasticity changes according to an applied magnetic field, a permanent magnet 3 which applies a magnetic field to the magnetic magneto-rheological elastomer, and an electromagnet 4 which applies a magnetic field to the magnetic magneto-rheological elastomer and changes the magnetic field. The electromagnet generates the magnetic field in the same direction of the magnetic field of the permanent magnet or the opposite direction thereof.
