<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an oxygen reduction catalyst, capable of efficiently manufacturing an oxygen reduction catalyst excellent in the catalyst activity.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an oxygen reduction catalyst includes firing a raw material complex including a phenanthroline Fe complex with a phenanthroline ligand coordinated to iron in a flowing atmosphere of reducing gas. The supply amount of the reducing gas relative to the mass of the raw material complex is in the range of 0.0133 L/min/g or more and 0.0333 L/min/g or less. Such a method for manufacturing an oxygen reduction catalyst allows for the efficient mass production of an oxygen reduction catalyst excellent in the catalyst activity, resulting in improvement in the industrial manufacturing efficiency in fuel cells.</p> |
