<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil absorbing body easily extractable from an installation location, and capable of improving oil absorbing performance. <P>SOLUTION: This oil absorbing body includes: an oil absorber 2 formed of a plurality of nonwoven fabrics each having a lipophilic and extra fine chemical fiber, wherein the plurality of nonwoven fabrics are formed in a laminated state to absorb oil by generating a capillary phenomenon; and a bag body 1 formed of a nonwoven fabric having a lipophilic property and a chemical fiber of high strength relative to the chemical fiber of the nonwoven fabric in the oil absorber 2, for storing the oil absorber 2 while the outline thereof is kept.
